Description

PROTECT-A EA 012 G 2K is an epoxy based, solvent free, transparent and two component impregnation primer (low viscosity) that contains resin and hardener.

Area of Use

  • Used specifically as a primer for polyurethane and polyurea based A-Protect products and production of epoxy mortar.
  • Used on plaster, stone, wood, concrete, mortar and mineral based etc. surfaces.

  • Pack A and Pack B are pre-measured and only need mixing at site.

Application Instructions

  • Surface must be clean, dry, flat and free of dirt, dust, oil, wax, mildew.
  • All loose, dusty, cracked, crusted and pre-painted surfaces should be cleaned by scraping, sanding, brushing with a wire brush and/or machine (pressurized water spray or sandblast).
  • For application on metal surfaces, loose rust, temper, rust formations attached to the surface or white rust on the metal surface must be removed from the surface using the methods mentioned above.
  • Damaged or weathered surfaces should be repaired with epoxy mortar.
  • Surfaces that contain old paint and surface unevenness should be sanded.
  • Glossy surfaces should be sanded until they look matte in appearance.
  • Concrete and plastered surfaces must have completed their curing before the application (must be at least 28 days old at 25°C.)
  • Mix all of Pack A (Base) with all of Pack B (Hardener) for at least 3 minutes with slow speed hand drill.
  • Pack A & B are pre-weighed and should be used in full quantity.
  • Can be applied via brush, roller or steel trowel.
